Sardinian Honey from Austis
Eucalyptus honey
Our Eucalyptus honey, in 125 g and 250 g formats.
DIMONIU Eucalyptus honey - Beekeeping Roberto Arru
The "honey of breath".
To produce this type of honey, we implement the so-called practice of 'nomadism', moving our hives to the south-west of Sardinia, in Campidano. The flowering of this plant takes place in summer and represents an essential nutritional source for our bees, at a time when other blooms are scarce.
Characteristics of Eucalyptus honey
Amber in color, with rather dark tones. It is a honey with a less sweet taste compared to other types and leaves room for a slightly salty aftertaste. Creamy texture, similar to caramel.
Contraindications
No specific contraindications have been found.
Eno-gastronomic pairings of Eucalyptus honey
Perfect to accompany fruit or vegetables simply dressed with oil, lemon, and honey. It pairs very well with peaches.
